Antonella Ricci was born in Ceglie Messapica in Salento. Her family owns the celebrated restaurant "Al Fornello da Ricci," which has been open for 47 years and held a Michelin Star for 19. Authentic Italian cuisine and its excellence are her passion: an attractive mosaic made up of recipes, traditions and habits of the 20 regions of Italy.
Antonella Ricci and Vinod Sookar, her husband, chef and business partner, met almost 20 years ago in his country of origin, the Mauritius Islands. Antonella's deep knowledge of ingredients and highly qualified techniques led her to teach at the Alma Cooking School in Parma, founded by Gualtiero Marchesi.
Visitors come from all over the world to the small town of Ceglie Messapica to enjoy the true taste of Italy.
